5 Blue Paint Colors We Considered For Our Farmhouse Pantry
I think the design style of our house lies somewhere between modern farmhouse and modern cottage. Our pantry is walk-in and lies right off the kitchen. Our floor plan means you have to walk through it to get to the garage (which is super nice for putting away groceries). This means that we are walking through it every day many, many times and it just feels very utilitarian.
The Desired Experience of this room: Calming and inviting. Because there is a rush that ensues when exiting a house, I wanted this space to feel calm and mellow out the mad dash to the door. Since this is the first room we see when we arrive home, I wanted it to convey that warm welcome home feeling when we walk inside. Blue is the perfect color to create this feeling, but there are so many blues! Here are the top 5 I narrowed it down to. My island is #5, bungle-house blue, so I was trying to decide whether to go with the same color or try to create some depth with another shade of blue. You can check out my inspiration pics for my blue pantry here.
